Who we are
Learn with Mishaal, operated by Mishaal Abbasi, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@learnwithmishaal.com.
What we collect
- Enquiry details — your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, preferred format and timing, and the message you send.
- Account details — your name, email address, contact number and password (stored only as a secure one-way hash).
- Booking details — the courses, formats, batches and timings you book, and your booking history.
- Payment records — the amount, date and transaction reference returned by PayFast. We never receive or store your card or bank details.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected for security and analytics.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and recommend a suitable course.
- To create, confirm and manage your bookings.
- To process payments and keep the records required for accounting.
- To send booking confirmations, class reminders and rescheduling decisions.
- To understand which courses and pages are most useful, and improve the site.
- To protect the site against spam, fraud and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
Marketing
Where you have agreed to be contacted, we may occasionally tell you about new courses or batch dates. You can opt out at any time by replying to any such message or writing to us; this does not affect the operational messages needed to manage a booking you have made.
Who we share it with
- PayFast — to process your payment securely.
- Our hosting provider — which stores the site and its database on our behalf.
- Analytics providers — which receive usage data about how the site is used.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to two years. Booking, payment and account records are retained for as long as is necessary to meet legal and accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your account at any time, subject to those obligations.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored as salted one-way hashes, access to the administration area is restricted by role, and actions taken on records are logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information.
Your rights
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
- Withdraw consent to marketing contact at any time.

Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping you signed in and remembering the contents of your cart. Where analytics cookies are used, they help us understand which pages are useful. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may then not work.
Children
Where a learner is under 18, we expect a parent or guardian to make the booking and provide the contact details. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children without that involvement.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
