Meet Mishaal Abbasi

Six years of teaching, one consistent teacher, and a straightforward belief: confidence comes from being made to speak, not from being taught about speaking.

Her background

Mishaal Abbasi is an online English language instructor with six years of teaching experience, working with learners across a wide range of ages and goals — from children building their first sentences to adults preparing for IELTS, PTE and LanguageCert.

Teaching entirely online was a deliberate choice rather than a fallback. It lets her work with learners wherever they are, keep class sizes genuinely small, and offer evening and weekend timings that fit around school, university and full-time work.

Teaching philosophy

Mishaal's approach starts from an honest assessment of where a learner actually is, not where a syllabus assumes they should be. Lessons are built around the specific gaps holding that student back, and progress is measured against their own starting point rather than a class average.

Classes are deliberately small and deliberately conversational. Learners are expected to speak, make mistakes and be corrected — which is uncomfortable for the first week and transformative by the fourth.

Who she teaches

Children & young learners

Age-appropriate materials and plenty of patience for students building their very first English sentences.

School & college students

Grammar and writing support that lifts classroom performance as well as everyday confidence.

Working professionals

Fluency, tone and presentation skills for interviews, meetings and English-speaking workplaces.

Exam candidates

Structured IELTS, PTE and LanguageCert preparation with honest predicted scores and a plan to close the gap.

A note on honesty

Mishaal will tell you if a target band is unrealistic in the time you have, or if a cheaper group class would serve you just as well as private sessions. Steering a student toward the wrong course helps nobody.
